WordPress Multisite

I am starting this page, mostly for my own reference, but please help yourself to the information!  I have been using Multisite (formerly Multiuser) on my teaching/class sites because there were so many subdomains.  I had never used Multisite on a main domain and then added new domains to it.  When  a client needed this task completed, I was completely up front and told them how I am a current user, but in a subdomain, but that I was more than willing and able to get the site up and going!  Little did I know (at the time), the HUGE difference between using WordPress Multisite with subdomains versus using WordPress Multisite with subFolders holding other .com’s.  I’m still no expert, but I have learned soooo much that I wanted to both share it and hold it here on my site as a reference.

First, I want to say thank you to the folks who support my hosting via Bev The Geek and Bitterroothosting.com.  Thank you to Deseree, Isaiahs and Cindy at GoDaddy for being there 24/7, on the phone, to answer my questions and help as needed through the tortuous transfer from Dreamhost (only email support!).  Backup Buddy adds Backup Buddy Multisite in their license and was an awesome plugin to be able to use (and still have on the current network site)
