For those who purchased a Roxio Creator 2009 Special Edition and have yet to have it open successfully, I have terrific news for you!

Thanks to the good people who inhabit the Internet Community, I finally found a fix.  I have had this Special Edition since the beginning of the year and thought it was pretty much useless since it wouldn’t open successfully.  So, after working on several software problems on other people’s computers and determining there are severe .net3framework errors out there, I started looking into the programs I am running that also do not work. 

This was the case of an application being built on a framework which Microsoft updated… Good enough.  And probably needed. But there are some conflicts that needed fixing. 

For Roxio, the problem was that the framework update deleted a required file out from under the Windows Operating System called milcore.dll.  If you are a Roxio Creator 2009 Special Edition victim, download milcore.dll, run your a/v scan on it and place it in the Windows/System32/ folder.  Voila.  First time worked like a charm. 

I found the milcore.dll at a site called search-dll.com.
